What is AACAP-PAC?
AACAP-PAC, the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry PAC, is the bipartisan voice of thousands of child and adolescent psychiatrists and their patients. We educate, support, and elect congressional candidates who advocate for child and adolescent psychiatry and mental health.
Why do we have a PAC?
Congress introduces thousands of bills each year that can affect our patients, our practice, our profession, and the public. AACAP-PAC combines resources from CAPs across the country, like yourself, to make a substantial impact on public policy.
Who can participate in AACAP-PAC?
Members of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry who are U.S. citizens or permanent Green Card holders residing in the U.S. can participate in AACAP-PAC. Only 501(c)(6) members (members of the Association) may contribute to the PAC. If you have any questions about your Association membership, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Which candidates does AACAP-PAC support?
AACAP-PAC’s support is non-partisan. The PAC board makes its contribution decisions on the positions and voting records of candidates, with an eye to issues that matter to CAPs and patients.
