AACAP Toolbox for Clinical Practice and Outcomes

Child/Toolbox Image

The Toolbox was developed as a resource for AACAP members who may find it useful in assessing and monitoring care in some cases in their practice. It is a non-exhaustive resource of possible instruments and rating forms that were suggested by various individuals who see them as brief, clear sources to profile care in the community.

The Toolbox gives members immediate access to free downloadable instruments for use in clinical practice.

These resources capture:

  • Medical History and Record Requests
  • Baseline (and Repeat Monitoring) of Clinical Symptoms
  • Medication Initiation
  • Medication Monitoring
  • Outcome Scales
  • Medication Information Resources for Professionals and Families

The toolbox is a work in progress and will be reviewed regularly based on members' input and experience.

The AACAP Toolbox for Clinical Practice and Outcomes Research was developed in collaboration with the Pediatric Psychopharmacology Initiative (PPI) under the AACAP Research Committee and the AACAP Consumer Issues Committee. For questions, please contact the AACAP Research, Training and Education Department at research@aacap.org.
